This week my pattern is to fall asleep after 1.5 or 2 hours, sleep for 4.5-6 hours, wake up very early and not fall asleep again. So I’ve simply gotten up when it’s clear I’m awake, and started my daily pattern of activity/rest intervals. Today that was 5am.

Yes, it would be nice to get the 7-9 hours of refreshing sleep that I actually need. I can put that on my “maybe/someday” list.

I have to say though, I love being up while the sun is rising and being well on my way to completing the most important items by 9am. If I need an extra nap later, I can totally fit it in because I am ahead already. I love that. Love that!
